Case Summary:
Just 3 days after North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition for a Chinese assistant research professor, Nebraska Service Center (NSC) approved his case. The accelerated timeline is thanks to Premium Processing (PP), a supplementary option offered by the USCIS that guarantees action will be taken on the case within 15 calendar days.
Our main goal was to prove to the USCIS that our client’s ongoing work in the field of chemistry is valuable to the United States. We also demonstrated that as a researcher at the top of his field, our client has sustained international recognition for his development of highly selective fluorescent probes (indicators) that can be used for analyzing and detecting bioactive substances related to a wide variety of diseases. We went about this by presenting our client’s 23 scientific articles and the whopping 716 citations they had amassed at the time of filing. Moreover, we detailed the 39 times our client was invited to judge the work of his peers.
Additional evidence such as our client’s Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry and CV were also included in his EB1A petition dossier. Arguably what carried the most weight were the four recommendation letters signed by other prominent chemists. These letters contained strong statements that supported the approval of our client’s EB1A petition. According to one of these recommenders, a professor at a top-tier American university: “I cannot stress enough the importance of allowing [Client] to continue his work in the United States, a nation known for scientific progress and where [Client’s] work is best able to continue thriving.”
