Client’s Testimonial:

“Anyway, I do appreciate your company on this lengthy and tortuous journey.”

On January 11th, 2017, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Scientist in the Field of Chemical and Biological Engineering (Approval Notice).

General Field: Chemical and Biological Engineering

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Scientist

Country of Origin: Taiwan

Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Maryland

Approval Notice Date: January 11th, 2017

Processing Time: 15 months, 19 days

Case Summary:

Over a year after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition on behalf of a scientist from Taiwan, the USCIS finally approved his case. Approval did not come easy but thanks to our diligent efforts preparing the petition package and addressing the service center’s handling errors, the lengthy journey to NIW approval is now over and our client is now one step closer to his green card.

In preparing our client’s NIW petition packet, we chose to focus on the fact that our client is an asset to the United States and that his work in the field of chemical and biological engineering is of great value to the nation. Among other things, we noted the 53 citations gathered from his 7 published scientific articles. We also thoroughly reviewed our client’s research efforts on developing advancements and innovations in the areas of industrial processes and tissue engineering. Based on what we learned, we were able to prove that his findings address wide-ranging challenges such as making industrial processes more efficient and environmentally friendly, and engineering effective vascular grafts for patients suffering from cardiovascular disease.

Besides providing the USCIS with information on our client’s research, we also incorporated seven recommendation letters into his petition packet. These letters supported our case and advocated for the approval of our client’s NIW petition. According to one of our client’s recommenders: “The U.S. would be hard-pressed to locate an individual with [Client’s] qualifications who is able, like [Client], to channel industrial expertise with the improvement of process control into the successful scale-up and commercial enhancement of biomedical products like new drugs.” Another recommender stated: “Very few scientists possess the level of training and innovation [Client] has repeatedly displayed, and thus I hereby offer my highest recommendation for his work.”

We thank our client for working with us, and we wish him the best as he continues to contribute to the improvement of healthcare in the United States.
