Case Summary:

A senior deep learning scientist from Turkey working in the field of computer science wanted to hire North America Immigration Law Group to represent him for his NIW (National Interest Waiver) case at USCIS in August 2020. So before moving ahead with the retainer agreement we made sure that he had everything that was required to fulfill the criteria set by the adjudicating authority. Having experience with thousands of cases in the past we were uniquely qualified to help him and this we were able to do by customizing his petition letter. We had to take care to include details of his academic and professional qualifications. We made certain that he won the case.

We found that as an expert in the field of computer science, his proposed endeavor is to develop and improve deep reinforcement learning algorithms for safe and efficient model and simulator learning to establish optimized systems for self-driving cars, stock trading, and other applications, helping move forwards a novel focus on solving difficult challenges in computer science in an efficient and cost-effective way. Many of his projects have focused on developing cutting-edge learning algorithms that reduce the financial and time-related costs that are often associated with artificial intelligence development. By creating artificial intelligence agents that require less time to learn strategies and interact well in real-world scenarios. Thus it was clear that his work was of value to multiple sectors.

Next, we found that his work in the field has resulted in one peer-reviewed journal article and 15 peer-reviewed conference papers (10 of them first-authored) and that these papers by him had been cited a total of 255 times according to Google Scholar. He has also completed at least 5 peer reviews to date. Since only the most highly esteemed researchers in the field are invited to evaluate the work of their peers, especially in authoritative journals, it is clear that he is seen as very knowledgeable in the field.

Next, we also focused on the grant from the National Science Foundation, which is a government agency that supports basic research that furthers American prosperity and scientific knowledge. This funding from such a major American institution further indicates that the United States government has already viewed his work as nationally and scientifically important.

Last but not least, we paid attention to the letters of recommendation he had obtained from fellow experts in his field. One of them had the following to say about him:

For example, the work [he] has done with multi-robot planning has significant implications for national defense and homeland security. The algorithm [he] developed ensures parameters are efficiently and effectively patrolled. Additionally, his work with search-based procedural content generation has applications for both civilian and military training scenarios. Both research areas discussed here also have significant uses in American industry and national defense. For these reasons, it is in the best interest of the United States to permit [him] to continue his work uninterrupted.”
