Case Summary:

In this case, our client had already achieved NIW approval with our help back in 2019. In order to receive a green card, our client reached out to us again to support him in filing an influencing EB-1A petition (Alien of Extraordinary Ability). Exactly 9 days after we filed the petition on his behalf, the USCIS permitted the case approval.

Our client, a postdoctoral scholar with a Ph.D. in earth science, and researching the field of hydrology. His research focuses on applying hydrologic remote sensing to advance seasonal and long-term water resource availability forecasting for water supply management and policy making. Our aim was to display his research’s importance, including freshwater supply and hazard (droughts and floods) forecasting. His solid background in earth science and remote sensing has allowed him to administer original research that accurately characterizes global water resources and hydrologic hazards from a quantitative perspective.

Since EB-1A is one of the hardest I-140 visa categories, we ensured incorporating more relevant details of our client’s comprehensive achievements. His petition packet consisted of the 17 peer-reviewed scientific articles he published in some of the most discerning journals, also, he judged the work of his peers 66 times for eminent journals, thereby confirming his active and actual participation as a judge of the work of other experts in the field. Moreover, we highlighted his work captivated a wide audience and has been cited by several researchers in the field, resulting in 315 citations at least from 30 countries, suggesting his sterling reputation that has inspired trust in his work nationally and internationally in the hydrology field.

All the information was vigilantly put in his petition packet to persuade the USCIS that our client qualifies as an alien of extraordinary ability and he deserves to continue his work in the United States. Five letters of recommendation signed by well-known researchers in the field were added to his petition packet to further corroborate his case. One of his recommenders worded:

“[Client] has demonstrated unique expertise and talent in the field of water science that makes him an invaluable contributor in various emerging areas of research that are of interest to the United States. He has proven to the international scientific community that he is an exceptional scholar with the ability to perform cutting-edge research… I firmly believe that he will continue to make important contributions to the hydrologic science community. Without hesitation, I give the United States government my strongest possible recommendation that he be granted permanent residency in the U.S.”

We truly thank our client for choosing us for representing his EB-1A application. Thanks to premium processing, he achieved his approval in just 9 days. We congratulate him on this accomplishment and for advancing his research here in the United States.
