Case Summary:

With an M.S. in Biological Sciences and a Ph.D. in Microbiology, this postdoctoral research associate from Taiwan was a good candidate for a green card, which she recently received. North America Immigration Law Group provided valuable support during the process and took care of documentation she needed to file her EB2-NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition and her I-485. Not only did we simplify the process, we also presented a strong case to the USCIS, which approved her case.

In our client’s EB2-NIW dossier, we included several recommendation letters contributed by experts in her field of immunology. One of them aptly highlighted the importance of our client’s research to not just the United States, but to the world. He wrote, “What makes [Client] such a standout, however, is the value that her work offers to the world outside of the laboratory. The immune system response is one of the most important areas of research in the biological and medical worlds because, simply put, it is what allows humans to fight disease. Even more simply, any improvement in disease-fighting ability is valuable to humankind, and [Client’s] improvements, especially in understanding allergic asthma, are impressive.”

Our client’s research is motivated by her interest in the relationship between innate and adaptive immune responses that bears on the pathways of inflammatory diseases such as asthma. We demonstrated the value of our client’s research efforts to the United States’ medical and healthcare industries, and established how her research has been implemented by others in her field. We did this in part by including her citation and publication record; at the time of filing, they stood at 151 and 9 respectively.

We are pleased to note that our efforts have contributed to the success of our client’s NIW case, and we wish her the best in her research.
