Case Summary:

For this EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition, North America Immigration Law Group (Wegreened.com) worked with a Chinese postdoctoral fellow in the field of tissue engineering. His specialized research has focused on applying 3D fabrication techniques to create complex tissue scaffolds, which is critical to developing strategies to cure tissue/organ degeneration and understanding new ways to treat and study cancer.

Further, we utilized recommendation letters signed by other experts in the field of tissue engineering to support his case. An independent recommender affirmed the significance of our client’s research: “The merit of [client]’s research lies in his significant contributions to advancing medical technology, particularly cancer treatment. In 2012, there were 14.1 million new cases of cancer diagnosed around the world, and every year more people are fighting cancer. Current cancer treatments like chemotherapy and radiation come with severe and painful side effects for the patient. Cancer surgery is also inexact. There is much work to be done in terms of treating cancer. [Client] is doing this work with his tissue engineering and other research. He is pioneering treatments that minimize patient suffering and maximize remission. [Client] must be allowed to remain and continue this important work”.

Although our client had a strong case, the USCIS issued a Request for Evidence (RFE), to which we promptly responded and effectively dealt with all doubts about his credentials and qualifications. Ultimately, his case was approved in 3 months and 8 days.
