Case Summary:

North America Immigration Law Group has come to be known as one of the leading legal firms helping clients with their immigration process. It is due to this that the influx of clientele has only increased over the years. Our firm has been responsible for over 25,000 case approvals till date. This rate of success is not unaided by a sense of gratefulness for our clients who have put their trust in us in the past and continue to do so now. This trust, we would say, is also a result of the diligence of our expert attorneys who make sure that every case they prepare is done with utmost care. This care is evident in our personalization of the petition packets we assemble.

So when in November of 2021, a Data Scientist from France wanted our help in filing his NIW (National Interest Waiver) application, we made sure that we prepared a winning case. In order to get to our result, we dug deep into his academic and professional records, where we found information about his proposed endeavor, his publications, citation history etc.

We discovered that as an expert in the field of semiconductor manufacturing, his proposed endeavor is to continue his research on plasma etching processes, metrology, Line Width Roughness (LWR), advanced patterning, lithography, Molecular Layer Deposition (MLD), process optimization, computer vision, algorithm development, and machine learning technologies to develop advanced metrology techniques, semiconductor processes, and machine learning algorithms in order to advance semiconductor technology.

We also quickly found that his ideas on developing advanced metrology techniques, semiconductor processes, and machine learning algorithms in order to advance semiconductor technology has both substantial merit and national importance. This is the reason that his fellow experts in the field provided additional insight into the merit of this endeavor:

“It is inarguably clear that [the client] is an indispensable researcher for the United States in achieving critical goals for advancing semiconductors, thus progressing cutting-edge technology such as data centers, supercomputers, and nanodevices, which have wide-ranging effects for virtually all sectors given increasing reliance on technology.”

“These efforts not only support the American economy, but also ensure national security and production stability through decreased reliance on Chinese manufacturing, and support U.S. specific technological advancement. It is therefore unequivocally necessary that [the client] maintain uninterrupted research capabilities in the United States to advance national interests.”

On the balance, his research has resulted in 9 peer-reviewed journal articles (4 of them first-authored) and 4 peer-reviewed conference papers. At the same time, these publications have been cited a total of 281 times according to Google Scholar.

He has also completed at least 6 reviews to date. Given that only the most highly esteemed researchers in the field are invited to evaluate the work of their peers, especially in notable venues like these, it is clear that he is seen as very knowledgeable in the field and an expert in topics related to his proposed endeavor.

Moreover, his study on manganese alkoxide films has been recognized and supported by the National Science Foundation. Since NSF was established to promote the national economic health and security of the United States, this funding serves as clear evidence of the merit of his work in advancing the semiconductor industry, an economically lucrative market that benefits the US.

While these specific research contributions represented only a subset of his most successful endeavors, these projects were also indicative of the overall quality of his research and illustrated his particular expertise and ability to continue contributing significantly to his field and to advancing the proposed endeavor. Thus, the quick receipt of the approval did not come as a surprise to us. We are proud of having had this opportunity to help him in this process.
