Recently approved for the EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW), this nuclear physicist—currently a visiting assistant professor—has demonstrated how high-level theoretical models can drive real-world advancements in energy, science, and security.

His field is nuclear physics, but his focus is sharper still: using covariant density functional theory (CDFT) to investigate the nuclear shell structure. His models are actively used by researchers working on neutron star simulations, nuclear fission, and superheavy nuclei properties. These applications are not merely theoretical—they influence how scientists understand cosmic phenomena and improve nuclear technologies that power homes and cities.

His work has also received support from prestigious institutions, including the U.S. Department of Energy, the German Research Foundation (DFG), and the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, validating both the quality and strategic relevance of his research.

We demonstrated in his petition that his endeavor contributes directly to critical and emerging technologies identified by the U.S. government, including advanced computing and clean energy systems. His theoretical framework not only improves understanding of fundamental physics but also contributes to the future of carbon-free electricity, a growing priority as the U.S. aims to expand its nuclear capacity in the coming decades.
