Chen Immigration Law Associates recently received a EB1A approval for a postdoctoral research associate in the field of computational biology and drug design. This client wished to retain employment in his field in order to continue his research on the screening processes for the identification and development of new drugs for various diseases including cancer, malaria, and Alzheimer's disease. It was our goal to prove that this client qualifies for classification as an alien of extraordinary ability given that he seeks to enter the United States to continue work in the area of extraordinary ability, and his entry to the United States will substantially and prospectively benefit the United States. His contributions to the field are also recognized by other experts in his field, most notably in a statement by a fellow researcher who stated “I cannot overstate the importance of [the petitioner's] work, as drug discovery is among the most important scientific projects that will eventually lead to improve the lives of millions of people in the United States and around the world.” Furthermore, our client’s work has resulted in at least 22 peer-reviewed scholarly publications and conference proceedings, one book, 10 peer-reviewed international conference proceedings, and one scientific patent.
