Success Stories: NIW Petition Approved for Postdoctoral Fellow in Florida in the Field of Botany

Client’s Testimonial:

Thanks for your effort to make this happened. The services were excellent and I was amazed to see your ability to understand the scientific writings, and the art of very efficiently converting into text for common understanding, which is a key to convince the importance of one’s work to the officials at USCIS

Case Summary:

In this case we were offered the opportunity to work with a Pakistani botanist working as a postdoctoral fellow, whose research had focused specifically on characterizing unknown genes in primary and secondary metabolisms and applying comparative genomics to expanding our understanding of certain molecular mechanisms. As part of our successful strategy for our client’s case, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, which included 5 peer-reviewed journal articles.  This work had received at least 27 citations by the time we filed his case, nearly all of which were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating the wide recognition of and reliance upon our client’s work in his field. We also showed that his continued employment in his field would benefit both his field as a whole and the people of the United States in general. An independent recommender confirmed the importance of his work: “This advance paves the way for further research aimed at understanding the roles of these genes further, which will then allow for the manipulation of these genes to create plants which produce larger quantities of desired compounds, such as the anticancer compounds vincristine and vinblastine.” We successfully argued that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in seven months and twenty-three days.
