Case Summary:

The client that North America Immigration Law GroupWeGreened.com had the opportunity to work with in this case was a postdoctoral scholar from South Korea. Her work has focused specifically on identifying genetic markers associated with preterm birth, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and placenta-related diseases of pregnancy. We successfully demonstrated that her continued employment in the field would benefit those in her field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving her highly significant contributions to her field, including 5 peer-reviewed journal articles (3 of them first-authored) and numerous conference presentations. Her publications had been cited at least 95 times at the time we filed the case; nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field.  The importance of her work was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “[Client’s] area of expertise remains elusive in this field, and as such, she is a true asset in providing advanced research as it relates to high quality prenatal care for pregnant women in the United States.” Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. Her NIW petition was approved in 5 months and 3 days.
