Case Summary:
A staff scientist from China hired North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) to build and file an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) case for her. Besides chronicling our client’s Ph.D. in Microbiology, we included other relevant evidence of her unique skillsets and knowledge. By the time we were ready to file her case, we had amassed an extensive list of her accomplishments, all of which supported our argument that she is an extraordinary researcher whose work benefits the United States.
For one, we detailed her research on the epidemiological study of human pathogens and persuaded the USCIS that her work addresses some of our nation’s most pressing issues in understanding the incidence and spread of human pathogens in various populations. Further, we used Google Scholar to confirm her citation and publication record, which at the time of filing stood at 166 and 6 respectively. We also highlighted the whopping 43 times our client judged the work of her peers.
Besides the achievements mentioned above, we also included letters of recommendation in our client’s EB1A petition dossier. These letters were contributed by other expert microbiologists, all of whom had worked with our client and/or knew of her work. This is what one of our client’s recommenders had to say about her: “Clearly, [Client] has used her background in microbiology to address critical U.S. public health concerns. Given her position in the field and history of work, she is all but guaranteed to continue pursuing major projects and advancing national research. Therefore, her work serves the interests of the United States and her research is a net benefit to the nation”.
In large part because our client chose to file her case under Premium Processing, the USCIS granted their approval just 11 days later (as opposed to the regular 4-9 months). We extend our congratulations to our client for coming this far in the green card process, and we wish her the best as she files an I-485 application with the help of our DIY Packet.
