Client’s Testimonial:
“Thank you very much for your great work for me.”
On September 2nd, 2017, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Field of Molecular Biology (Approval Notice).
General Field: Molecular Biology
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Country of Origin: South Korea
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Iowa
Approval Notice Date: September 2nd, 2017
Processing Time: 1 year, 14 days
Case Summary:
Despite having to wait over a year for notification of case approval, a postdoctoral research fellow from South Korea is now one big step closer to a green card. When he first approached North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to help him build and file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition, we carefully reviewed his credentials to be sure that we could secure petition approval.
It took us months of hard work to put together a solid case for our client. Among other things, we listed his seven peer-reviewed journal articles (four of them first- and co-first-authored) and two book chapters as well as the 105 citations they had collected. Furthermore, we highlighted the value of his molecular biology research to the United States. For example, we informed the USCIS that our client’s research results have directly contributed to superior public health, therapeutic strategies, and overall quality of life for U.S. citizens. Additionally, his remarkable research efforts are contributing to the United States’ pharmaceutical industry and broader healthcare system.
Gathering supporting evidence:
We encouraged our client to reach out to a handful of his peers and ask for recommendation letters. These letters advocated for the approval of our client’s NIW petition and noted that his skillsets would be difficult to replace should he have to leave the US. This is what one of our client’s recommenders had to say about our client: “It would be a great loss to the United States’ scientific community and medical research community in particular were he not allowed to remain here. I strongly recommend the extension of his research program in his current position and grant him my utmost professional support.”
Overall, we are pleased that our hard work paid off and that our client secured the national interest waiver. We congratulate him on this win and thank him for choosing us to represent his NIW petition.
