Case Summary:

A little over a year after North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition for a postdoctoral researcher from India, Nebraska Service Center approved her case.

With a Ph.D. in Chemistry, our client is clearly armed with the knowledge needed to conduct impactful research in the field of polymer chemistry. Her work in the field has led to various achievements, including but not limited to, 10 published scientific articles and a citation record of 152. Furthermore, our client has conducted 16 peer reviews for several scientific journals, proving her mettle as a researcher of the highest caliber.

Besides the information listed above, our client’s EB1A petition dossier contained information related to her studies on the synthesis and characterization of novel polymer materials for new biomedical and engineering applications. We determined that these achievements are absolutely essential to the United States, where polymers are widely used for drug delivery as well as for the production of various engineering materials, including reversible paint and fuel cell proton exchange membranes.

To back up our argument that our client is an extraordinary researcher and therefore an asset to the US, we incorporated recommendation letters into her petition packet. These letters were sourced from other expert chemists, all of whom are familiar with our client’s research. This is what one of them had to say about our client and her work: “[Client’s] diligent production of cutting-edge research has granted her an indisputable position at the very forefront of the field. This position reflects the fact that Dr. Sen is significantly more capable of developing useful procedures and findings compared with her fellow researchers. Hence, maintaining [Client’s] research efforts is absolutely necessary for the advancement of the field.”

Although our client had to wait over a year for action to be taken on her EB1A, we are pleased that she secured petition approval. We congratulate her for overcoming this significant hurdle in the green card process and thank her for retaining us to help with her I-485 application.
