Case Summary:
Over a year after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition for an associate professor based in her birth country of Iran, the USCIS approved her petition. Although it took them over a year to adjudicate our client’s case, we are pleased that it was approved without the issuance of a Request for Evidence (RFE). We have no doubt that our detailed presentation of our client’s strong credentials paved the way for petition approval. These are some of the points we focused on:
- Research Results: In order to prove to the USCIS that our client deserved the national interest waiver, we first had to carefully understand her research. IVP is the final step in the green card process for applicants who do not reside in the US. As there is no US embassy/consulate in Iran, Iranians must undergo IVP at one of the following US embassies: Ankara, Turkey; Abu Dhabi, UAE; or Yerevan, Armenia.
