Success Stories: Without RFE, NIW Status Confirmed Soon After EB1-A Approval for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Biochemistry, Credit Goes to Our Team’s Excellent Work on His Petition

Client’s Testimonial:

“Thank you for handling my case very sincerely.”

On October 4th, 2022, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Field of Biochemistry (Approval Notice).

General Field: Biochemistry

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Research Associate

Country of Origin: India

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Tennessee

Approval Notice Date: October 4th, 2022

Processing Time: 6 months, 4 days

Case Summary:

As an expert in the field of biochemistry, our NIW (National Interest Waiver) client’s proposed endeavor was to continue his research on the isolation and characterization of naturally sourced bioactive pharmacological compounds for use in the development of new and improved preventative and curative therapies for a number of different disorders and diseases. His research here in the United States was hugely important because it contributed to the development of novel models and methods for understanding, treating, and preventing widespread conditions such as diabetes mellitus, diabetic gastroparesis, and anxiety disorders. His novel research in the field of biochemistry has proven essential for the interests of the United States, particularly in terms of developing new treatments and research methods for various diseases.

Hence, due to its clear national importance, his research has in fact been supported with funding from the National Institutes of Health, one of the world’s leading supporters of biomedical research, the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, an organization under the Human Resource Development Group of India and the Qatar National Research Fund.

He has also completed at least 16 reviews in his 15 years of service to the scientific community which stood as evidence of his expertise in the field. His research has been published in 26 peer-reviewed journal articles (15 of them first-authored). Not only this, but his research has also gone on to influence his peers. That is, they have been cited a total of 1,113 times according to Google Scholar.

Thus, when we arranged these facts into a petition, we were already certain that he would win the NIW approval from the adjudication committee at the USCIS. Since an NIW requires hard proof of the applicant’s work for the nation, we were right to anticipate this victory which came along in just 6 months and 4 days. We are thankful to him for retaining us to work on his NIW petition after his EB1-A approval in July 2022 and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
