Case Summary:

For EB1-A cases we at Chen Immigration work with our clients to demonstrate that they meet at least three of the regulatory criteria set by the USCIS and that they have a level of expertise indicating that they are “one of that small percentage who have risen to the very top of their field of endeavor” and have sustained national or international acclaim and that their achievements have been recognized in the field of their expertise. In this case we proved that our client surpassed these desired qualifications by highlighting this client’s exceptional research and by compiling strong recommendation letters.

As in many of our EB1-A cases we at Chen Immigration Law and Associates begin our petitions by highlighting the outstanding nature of our client’s educational and research backgrounds. This supports the first criterion set by the USCIS that our client has contributed significant work in their field of study. In this case we did this by illustrating our client’s dual theory/practice experiences. As both a researcher and developer of many 3D analysis tools for the civil engineering profession, our client not only discovered many new algorithms and theories for the field of civil engineering but also developed many new tools that many in the field have deemed as some of the most novel and important advances in the field in many years.

Although the client only had around 100 citations at the time we filed his case, we were able to prove that our clients are “one of that small percentage who have risen to the very top of their field of endeavor.” We did this by highlighting our client’s quantifiable contributions to their field of study. One of this client’s papers was the number one cited paper among all cited papers in Automation in Construction in 2010, and also appeared in the “top 25 hottest articles” in a prestigious journal for two years straight. These two accomplishments made solid- grounding for evidence with regard to this criterion.

Lastly, we at Chen Immigration Law and Associates hold the belief that the success of our cases rest in the quality of recommendation and independent advisory opinions. In this case we procured six recommendation letters from internationally-distinguished individuals in the field of our client’s research.

Using this proven strategy, while correctly articulating the importance surrounding this client’s valued work, we at Chen Immigration Law Associates were able to secure approval for this petition on February 29th 2013.

With this in consideration, it is important to emphasize that the processes and expertise practiced by Chen Immigration Law Associates. Not only do we develop the best possible strategies for each case, but we execute these strategies with the utmost effectiveness!
