The client that North America Immigration Law Group had the opportunity to work with in this case was a Postdoctoral Researcher from Iran. His work has focused specifically on modelling porous media and their properties for use in the Soil Physics, Hydrology, Petroleum, Chemical and Civil Engineering communities. We successfully demonstrated that his continued employment in the field would benefit those in his field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, including 33 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous conference papers. His publications had been cited at least 134 times at the time we filed the case; nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field. The importance of his work was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “[Client’s] novel percolation theory-based approach allowed for the first reliable dispersion calculations, and has proven helpful in broadly describing such disparate processes as cellular mitosis, ground water remediation, catalysis, epidemiology, and the degradation of building materials. It also helped bring together experimental and observational data concerning silicate weathering and dispersion modeling. These are important areas of study as they play a role in the carbon cycle and, therefore, have implications on such widespread and impactful phenomena as climate change, soil production, and even extinctions.” Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 6 months and 22 days.
