Case Summary:

This case offered us the opportunity to work with a toxicologist from China. She conducted research in the specialized subject of genetic toxicology, with a particular focus on biomarker detection of drug-induced liver injury, and had produced 19 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 4 book chapters, and a number of conference presentations, both on a national and an international scale. The major significance of her publications was amply indicated by the fact that they had attracted at least 122 citations from leading researchers at prestigious institutions worldwide at the time that we filed her case. She had also reviewed 50 articles for highly-acclaimed journals within the field of toxicology. An independent recommender confirmed her superior expertise: “This project is demonstrative of [Client’s] impeccable aptitude as an innovative scientist, as it is the first experiment ever conducted that evaluates the potential of urinary miRNAs as biomarkers for drug-induced liver damage. Furthermore, because the methods outlined in this publication are entirely non-invasive, urinary biomarkers are certain to be of particular use apropos the identification of early liver hepatotoxicity.” We successfully showed, through extensive documentation, that our client met the qualifications for classification as an Alien of Extraordinary Ability, and that her continued research would substantially and prospectively benefit the United States. Her case was approved in eight months and eight days.
