Case Summary:

We recently had the pleasure of representing a client who has been performing organic chemistry research on environmentally-neutral processes for asymmetric reduction reactions. This has included the development of safer methods for drug development and the elucidation of the photosynthesis process to better understand the origins of life. The client in question had 156 citations at the time of filing and we were able to show that this evidence, combined with other objective proof of his research influence, demonstrated that his research qualified as original contributions of major significance. Our firm also showed that the client’s 13 scientific articles appearing in top-tier journals in the field met the criteria for authorship of scholarly articles. In addition, the client had completed peer-review work for 8 journals in the field of endeavor, so we proved that this was sufficient evidence that the client had served as a judge of others in organic chemistry. Aside from showing the influence of the client’s work on subsequent research studies, we stressed that this work also has direct applications for environmental engineers working in industrial settings.
