Success Stories: A Professor from China Secured EB-1A Approval with Our Full Support, Despite RFE Issuance
Client’s Testimonial:
“Thanks for the attorney's quick and high-quality response, as well as the kind help during my case preparation process. Thank you so much!”
On March 19th, 2021, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Professor in the Field of Materials Science (Approval Notice).
General Field: Materials Science
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Professor
Country of Origin: China
Country of Residence at the Time of Filing: China
Approval Notice Date: March 19th, 2021
Processing Time: 11 months, 5 days
A professor based in China hired us to construct an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on his behalf. In order to receive the approval notification of the said petition, it was imperative for him to determine that he was an individual exhibiting extraordinary ability. When we confirmed his case, firstly, we did a complete run-through of his credentials and ensured the possibilities of EB-1A approval. We noted that he held a Ph.D. in optical functional materials and significant value in the field, certainly, our client has the needed experience and knowledge to advance his proposed research here in the United States.
While preparing his EB-1A case, we detailed our client’s research focusing on optical functional materials for energy conversion. His research addresses some of our nation’s most pressing issues in understanding energy efficiency and conversion technology. In addition, we added the 117 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 12 patents he published, amassing 1,853 citations. This impressive record of the citation count highlights that his publications have been cited at a much higher rate than those of other researchers in the field. His work has influenced many researchers, and he has also conducted 120 reviews for highly acclaimed journals with very compelling publishing guidelines. Only highly qualified scientists are invited to judge the work of others and also ensure that the papers they publish address important research questions and arrive at valid, verifiable conclusions. These statements confirm that he is an active member and a reliable judge of the work of others in the field.
To corroborate all the provided documents, we added four letters of recommendation gathered from his fellow experts in the field of materials science and validated his work. One of his recommenders stated:
“[Client's] high-performance ML materials have improved the United States' ability to predict stress in buildings, enabling prevention of the loss of life and in property damage caused by a single earthquake. There is a great need in the United States for scientists who are capable of enhancing stress detection technologies and developing more efficient sources of light energy, and it is clear that he is at the forefront of these areas of research.”
Unfortunately, an RFE was issued and our client had to bear a slight delay in the process, however, our team’s dedication and constant support successfully led him to secure his EB1A petition approval within 11 months. We genuinely thank our client for associating and cooperating with us. We congratulate him on this milestone in his field.
