Case Summary:

Just 8 days after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition for an assistant professor from Ethiopia, the USCIS granted their approval. Our client, an expert in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, knew that our extensive experience obtaining over 10,000 I-140 approvals gave us an upper hand in understanding USCIS adjudication trends.

So what did we do to help our client get significantly closer to his green card? For one, we built an EB1A petition that focused on his various accomplishments in the field. For example, we listed the 11 times he judged the work of his peers for several well-known scientific journals. We also noted the impressive 437 times his 22 publications were cited by other researchers. Moreover, we carefully reviewed and summarized his work on the pharmacogenetic basis of the pharmacokinetic interactions between drugs used to treat HIV and tuberculosis. We also demonstrated that our client’s findings areapplied in the identification of optimal initiation times for anti-retroviral therapies to treat patients who suffer from the aforementioned diseases.

Not just that, we helped our client select recommenders who could support his EB1A case. Comprising of several prominent members of the pharmaceutical sciences research community, these recommenders signed letters that advocated for the approval of our client’s petition. Not only did these letters contain subjective evidence that our client’s work is of great value to the US, they also contained statements such as the following: “In light of the current state of global health, the continuation of [Client’s] research is crucial for both its clinical and academic value. [Client’s] research on pharmacology has already made a large impact, and the scientific community would be at a great disadvantage if his work were hindered in any way.”

We are pleased that we helped yet another client get closer to a green card. We thank him for working with us and wish him the best as he adjusts his status for permanent residence with the help of our I-485 DIY Packet.
