Success Stories: EB-1A Petition Approved for Graduate Research Assistant in North Carolina in the Field of Nutritional Sciences

Client’s Testimonial:

“I have received both approval notices for my EB1A and NIW cases. Thank you very much for your help.”

On January 25h, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Graduate Research Assistant in the Field of Nutritional Sciences (Approval Notice).

General Field: Nutritional Sciences

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Graduate Research Assistant

Country of Origin: China

Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: North Carolina

Approval Notice Date: January 25th, 2016

Processing Time: 3 months, 23 days (Premium Processing requested)

Case Summary:

A recent client of ours was described as “[…] far ahead of many other professionals since such a combination of advanced research experience and education in both reproductive biology and nutrition is rare. This strong and eclectic background makes [Client] uniquely qualified for the work he is conducting… I have worked with many researchers over the course of my career, but none stand out in the way that [Client] does. He is certainly a researcher of note, far superior to his peers”

This glowing review is taken from a recommendation letter contributed by an expert in the field of nutritional sciences, our client’s area of study. This letter, along with three others that we collected, was included in the EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition packet that North America Immigration Law Group submitted to the USCIS. Our well-reasoned packet demonstrated how beneficial our client’s work is to the United States and detailed other aspects of our client’s influence in his field. When we filed his case, our client’s record included 503 citations, 26 publications, and 12 instances of peer review service. Our petition packet included this information as well as other documents related to his professional and educational background. Although we presented a comprehensive EB-1A petition packet to the USCIS, they issued a Request for Evidence (RFE) three weeks after we filed the case. We expertly addressed the RFE and alleviated all doubts that the USCIS had regarding our client’s qualifications. Because he chose to file his case under Premium Processing, the adjudication timeline (despite the issuance of the RFE) amounted to less than four months.

Our client, whose research focuses on the mechanisms of mammalian nutrition on reproduction, growth, and development, is now more than halfway through the complex process of obtaining a green card. North America Immigration Law Group wishes him all the best.
