Case Summary:

Only nine days after we filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition under Premium Processing, our client received notification of case approval. We are pleased that our client, a research associate from China, is now only one step away from his green card.

North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) was tasked with putting together an EB-1A petition packet that would persuade the USCIS to approve our client’s petition. We started off by counseling our client to obtain recommendation letters from several expert chemical biologists. We went through the list of experts that our client provided and helped him select the best candidates. We ensured that our client’s recommenders had either worked with our client and/or were familiar with his work (mainly through his 16 publications). The five testimonials that he managed to obtain all spoke highly of his work. One of these letters stated that “[Client] has proven himself to be a pioneer in chemical biology research dedicated to understanding and diagnosing these autoimmune disease which so significantly affect the United States. Because of this, I ask that you afford him and his research your serious consideration.”

Besides these letters, our well-prepared EB-1A petition packet also contained evidence of the 568 citations to our client’s research and the 29 times he conducted peer reviews for high impact scientific journals. We also noted his research efforts on therapeutic and diagnostic tools for several diseases, and demonstrated to the USCIS that these ventures improve the United States’ efforts to carry out effective drug targeting and disease tracking.

We are pleased that the USCIS approved our client’s EB-1A petition. We wish him well as he embarks on the final leg of the green card journey: the I-485 application. Our client has elected to do so using our comprehensive I-485 D.I.Y. Packet, which contains clear guidelines on how to file an I-485 application. We hope to hear from our client when he receives favorable news from the USCIS regarding his application.
