Client’s Testimonial:

“Thank you very much. It’s great news.”

On May 2nd, 2018, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Researcher in the Field of Biofuel Research (Approval Notice).

General Field: Biofuel Research

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Researcher

Country of Origin: India

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: North Carolina

Approval Notice Date: May 2nd, 2018

Processing Time: 12 Days (Premium Processing Requested)

Case Summary:

With a doctorate in chemistry and many years of experience working in the field of biofuel research, a researcher from India was a good candidate for EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability). Despite her strong credentials, she needed our help to put together a customized EB1A petition and present a convincing case to the USCIS. She opted for Premium Processing and received an approval notice 12 days later.

What went into the EB1A dossier?

For one, we included six recommendation letters volunteered by other well-known biofuel researchers. These letters contained a wealth of information on our client’s work on analyzing biofuels and bio-oils through NMR spectroscopy and chromatographic techniques. Not just that, these letters listed the importance of our client’s work to the United States. As an example, this is what one of our client’s recommenders included in his letter of support: “Given that biofuel is a renewable source of energy, the U.S. has many incentives to encourage biofuel consumption, especially with regard to energy independence considerations. […] [Client’s] work is thus critical for efforts aimed at limiting greenhouse gas emissions, thereby mitigating the severity of climate change.”

Besides recommendation letters, our client’s personalized EB1A petition contained data on her various accomplishments in the field. For instance, we listed the 17 times our client served as a peer reviewer.  As only top-level experts in their field are invited to perform this important review work, this frequent review activity demonstrated our client’s respected standing in the field. We also recorded the 266 times her 4 published scientific articles were cited.

Why is our strategy so effective?

The team at North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) has successfully petitioned over 10,000 I-140 cases. This has given us unprecedented insight into what the USCIS is looking for when adjudicating petitions. Furthermore, it puts us in an excellent position to advise our clients on everything from the ideal time to file the case to what should be included in the petition packet. Additionally, because of the number of petitions we have filed, we have firsthand information of any changes the USCIS makes in adjudication trends.

We congratulate our client for coming this far in the green card process, and we wish her the best as she continues to advance the important field of biofuel research here in the US.
