Case Summary:

A gifted statistician from China hired North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to file two I-140 petitions on his behalf: one under EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) and another under EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability). It is common for petitioners to file two I-140s as it increases their likelihood of receiving an approval notice. In this case, our client received approval notices for both his petitions. We are especially pleased that Texas Service Center approved his EB-1A petition as it gives him the flexibility to file an I-485 application (last step in the green card process) without waiting several years for his priority date to become current.

Compiling a strong EB-1A petition:

It is no secret that EB-1A is upheld by a very high standard of law and that it is not easy to attain petition approval. Thus, we worked diligently to present our client’s strong credentials to the USCIS in a precise manner. We noted his 5 publications that had collected 734 citations at the time of filing, as well as the 9 times he conducted peer reviews for scientific journals. Furthermore, we reviewed his research on using advanced statistical analytics to improve medical care outcomes and institutional operating efficiencies. Based on what we gathered, we proved that our client’s research addresses some of the United States’ most pressing issues in epidemiological studies and healthcare program management, thereby optimizing healthcare infrastructure by improving patient outcomes as well as institutional efficiency.

To fortify our client’s EB-1A petition, we also included recommendation letters contributed by other experts in the field of data science. Here is what one of them had to say about him: “It is very clear that [Client] is a distinctly talented statistical analyst with an impressive depth of research expertise. His work has and continues to advance the field to an unprecedented degree with his use of a combinatorial approach relying upon his unmatched analytical and biomedical knowledge, thereby progressing national public health to its greatest feasible extent. The United States' medical science and national healthcare system is in need of researchers of [Client's] high caliber. I confirm that he, at the apex of his specialization, stands as an integral and indispensable member of our organization and the international scientific community.”

This EB-1A petition approval is another example of our law firm’s commitment to helping every client get their I-140 petition approved. We thank our client for selecting us to represent his EB-1A case, and we wish him well as he continues to progress the field of data science.
