Case Summary:
Just one week after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on behalf of a talented postdoctoral fellow from India, the USCIS approved her case. The reason why our client only waited a week for the USCIS to take action on her case is because she opted to file it under Premium Processing (PP). By paying the USCIS an additional $1,225, our client was allowed the luxury of having her petition processed within 15 days.
Our comprehensive services comprised of various elements, part of which involved documenting our client’s various accomplishments in the field of neuroscience. By the time we were ready to file her EB-1A petition, we had amassed a wealth of information on her academic and professional accomplishments. For instance, we noted her Ph.D. in Human Molecular Genetics and the 209 times her work was cited at the time of filing. Furthermore, we noted the 15 times she judged the work of her peers for several high profile scientific journals.
Another element of our legal services entailed helping our client select potential recommenders who could contribute recommendation letters in support of her EB-1A petition. We helped her narrow down whom to select and encouraged her to obtain recommendation letters from them. The five experts whom our client approached were all experts in the field and were either familiar with her work through her 6 publications and/or had worked with her.
The approval of our client’s EB-1A petition propelled her one big step closer to her green card. We congratulate her on this milestone and wish her the best as she adjusts her status for permanent residence by filing an I-485 application. We also wish her well as she continues to research the molecular mechanisms underlying epilepsy and contribute to the treatment and prevention of chronic epileptic disorders.
