What is Premium Processing?

With an additional filing fee of $1,225, Premium Processing (PP) is an expedited service offered by the USCIS for certain visa categories. Petitioners can elect to file their case under PP if they are not willing (or not able) to wait 4-9 months for the USCIS to adjudicate their case. When it comes to PP, immigration officers have to take action within 15 business days, and this significantly shaves down the wait time from months to mere days.
