“Thank you so much!”
On April 20th, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Postdoctoral Appointee in the Field of Condensed Matter Physics (Approval Notice).
General Field: Condensed Matter Physics
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Appointee
Country of Origin: China
Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Illinois
Approval Notice Date: April 20th, 2016
Processing Time: 21 Days (Premium Processing Requested)
Case Summary:
North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) recently had the pleasure of helping a Chinese postdoctoral appointee obtain an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition approval. It would have taken the USCIS between 4-9 months to adjudicate our client’s case had he not chosen to upgrade it to Premium Processing a week after we filed it. Exactly 2 weeks after the upgrade, he received notification of case approval.
We were tasked with putting together a strong EB-1A petition on our client’s behalf. One way we did this was by carefully reviewing his research projects and establishing their importance to the United States. Based on what we learned, we determined that our client’s projects on artificial frustrated arrays and artificial topological spin structures enhance artificial spin ice and various other artificial materials used in American industries.
Besides details on his research, our client’s EB-1A petition packet also included data on his Ph.D. in Physics, his 12 publications, the 16 times he conducted peer reviews, and the 240 citations to his work. We also incorporated six recommendation letters offered by other experts in the field. These letters served as evidence that our client’s work is important to other physicists progressing the field of condensed matter physics. According to one of these recommenders: “As our digitized world grows ever more complex and demands technology capable of storing immense amounts of data, [Client’s] work has delivered a method for magnetic nanotechnology to provide increased storage density while reducing power consumption. [Client’s] work is therefore providing the United States with the tools it needs to meet the ever-increasing demands of the digital age.”
We congratulate our client for obtaining an EB-1A petition approval, and we wish him well as he embarks on the final leg of the green card journey: adjusting his status for permanent residency by filing I-485 applications for himself and his dependent(s).
