Case Summary:

Merely 9 days after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition for a research fellow from India, the USCIS granted their approval. Our client elected to file under Premium Processing, which greatly reduced the wait time for action to be taken on the petition, but we also believe that our highly detailed and customized EB1A petition lent a hand in case approval.

What did we include in our client’s personalized EB1A petition?

Amongst other things, we included data on the impressive 310 times our client’s dozen papers were cited by other researchers. Further, we listed the 14 times she had assessed the work of her peers for various scientific journals. Using this information, we persuaded the USCIS that our client is a highly qualified advanced degree scientist with extensive experience in immunology. Moreover, we included information related to her work on the interaction between immune and nerve cells that are responsible for serious diseases. Not only did we demonstrate that our client’s findings greatly benefit the field of immunology, we also emphasized that her work is of great importance to the United States as a whole.

To further fortify our client’s EB1A petition, we asked her to contact other influential immunologists and ask for letters of recommendation. Our client returned with six letters, all of which advocated for the approval of her petition. This is what one of her recommenders had to say about her work: “Her repeated successes in the development of cutting-edge techniques and methodology have placed her at the vanguard of the field. It is important that [Client] remain in the U.S. that she may continue to produce such excellent scholarship.”

We are pleased that we persuaded the USCIS to approve our client’s EB1A, and we thank her for choosing us to represent her case.
