Client’s Testimonial:

“Thank you very much for your helps! Congratulation to you and your company as well.”

On July 26th, 2017, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Statistician in the Field of Statistics (Approval Notice).

General Field: Statistics

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Statistician

Country of Origin: Thailand

Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)

Approval Notice Date: July 26th, 2017

Processing Time: 13 Days (Premium Processing Requested)

Case Summary:

A statistician from Thailand approached North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) when she decided that she wanted to become a US permanent resident. After we went through her credentials, we advised her to file two I-140 petitions: one under EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) and the other under EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver). It is not uncommon for petitioners to file more than one I-140 as it increases their chances of securing petition approval. In this case, our client’s EB1A was approved before her NIW was even filed—the USCIS only spent 13 days adjudicating her EB1A before granting their approval. The short timeline is thanks to Premium Processing (PP), an add-on service offered by the USCIS that guarantees action will be taken on the case within 15 days.

What did the winning EB1A petition dossier contain?

We incorporated recommendation letters secured from other experts working in the field of statistics. These letters served as additional proof that our client is an asset to the US and that her studies on specific diseases are important to the nation. For instance, this is what one of our client’s recommenders included in her letter: “[Client’s] steady record of major achievements […] has propelled her to the forefront of an important and competitive field, and it is clear that she will continue to produce such valuable research for many years to come.”

Besides these letters, we included information on our client’s various achievements in the field such as her dozens of publications, the over 1,000 times her work was cited, and the handful of times she assessed the work of her peers.

We are pleased that our diligently efforts paved the way for EB1A case approval, and we congratulate our client for coming this far in the green card process. We also thank her for retaining our I-485 services, and we look forward to helping her attain US permanent residency.
