The average processing time for I-140 cases is 4-6 months. But on many occasions, we have cases approved far faster than the average processing time. In this instance, the case was approved in only 1 month.

Another exceptional client that we had the pleasure of working with was a Postdoctoral Fellow from China working in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Specifically, the client’s work contributed to the discovery and development of clinical diagnostic agents and medical drugs, including efficient cancer cell, tissue, and tumor targeting methods. His work had resulted in at least 15 peer-reviewed scientific articles.  At the time the case was filed, his publications had accumulated at least 181 citations, clearly demonstrating that he had influenced the pharmaceutical sciences field and garnered international acclaim. In addition, various experts and editors had requested his professional service as a reviewer of manuscripts for publication for a top-tier field journal. Of these accomplishments, one of the independent recommenders remarked: “[He] possesses a high level of expertise in the areas [of] carbohydrate chemistry and fluorescent probes, and his research performed in these areas distinguishes his as one at the very top in his field.  Several of his original contributions have made a tremendous impact in the field.”

It was our goal to prove that our client qualified for classification as an Alien of Extraordinary Ability  given that he sought to remain in the United States to continue work in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and that his continued research would substantially and prospectively benefit the United States. Through extensive documentation, we successfully argued that our client met the requirements for an Alien of Extraordinary Ability, and his I-140 application was approved in just 1 month.
