Case Summary:

In this case we were offered the opportunity to work with a Chinese application engineer, who had focused specifically on modeling and controlling power converters. As part of our successful strategy for our client’s case, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, which included 21 peer-reviewed scientific articles and conference proceedings.  This work had received at least 78 citations by the time we filed his case, nearly all of which were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating the wide recognition of and reliance upon our client’s work in his field. We also showed that his continued employment in his field would benefit both his field as a whole and the people of the United States in general. An independent recommender confirmed the importance of his work: “…Considering renewable energy is now an area of strict importance for the United States as they work to solve the energy crisis and reduce carbon emissions, [Client’s] research in this area has offered exceptional value. [Client’s] current mode control is an important technique for renewable energy systems as it connects the power sources from solar panel, wind turbo and battery systems.” We successfully argued that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 8 months and 6 days (including NOID Response Time).
