Client’s Testimonial:

"I don't know how I can appreciate all your help and supports. I appreciate you for every single sentence you wrote for me in letters and petition. I could not do it without you and Chen Group. Thank you very much.”

On January 24th, 2020, we received another NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Ph.D. Student in the Field of Materials Engineering (Approval Notice).

General Field: Materials Engineering

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Ph.D. Student

Country of Origin: Iran

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Indiana

Approval Notice Date: January 24th, 2020

Processing Time: 9 months, 14 days

Case Summary:

A Ph.D. student engaged North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) to help him file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition. At first glance, his master of science and extensive experience in the field of materials engineering made him a suitable candidate for EB-2 NIW. After carefully evaluating his credentials to be sure that we build a strong case, we determined that he qualified for the national interest waiver.

Part of our services included helping our client select influential experts who could contribute strong recommendation letters in support of his EB-2 NIW petition. We carefully examined these fellow experts and researchers to make sure that they were familiar with our client’s work. Their letters advocated for the approval of our client’s EB-2 NIW petition and served as strong evidence to support his case. To quote one of the recommenders: “The work that [client] is doing on CNC thin films has applications ranging from healthcare to the technology sector. These are areas of great interest both to the nation’s economy and the lives of its people. Because [client’s] work entails considerable benefits for the United States of America, it is in the nation’s best interest that his petition be promptly approved.”

Accompanying these recommendation letters were details on client’s in 5 peer-reviewed journal articles (3 of them first-authored), 3 conference papers (2 of them first-authored) and one Iranian patent, which gathered 67 citations. He also conducted a review for a well-known journal, which demonstrates our client’s role in the scientific community as a peer reviewer for highly acclaimed journals and conferences. We also reviewed his work on the surface engineering and mechanical behavior of materials and producing novel diagnostic models and evaluative tools to determine the surface and mechanical response of materials to various forces and inputs. His research in this area of expertise is of great importance because it advances metal alloy technology and alloys are valuable to innumerable industries for their unique properties such as mechanical strength, electrical conductivity, and corrosion resistance.

After waiting 9 months and 14 days, our client finally secured NIW petition approval, despite RFE. As part of our comprehensive services, we efficiently responded to the RFE and cleared all doubts regarding our client’s credentials. The approval of this petition is yet another example of our firm’s excellent record of helping our clients secure I-140 approval. We thank our client for not only selecting us to represent his NIW case, but also retaining us for his I-485 applications.
