Case Summary:
Recently at Chen Immigration we received a National Interest Waiver approval for a client from Italy. This client is a resident in general surgery specializing in endocrine and minimally-invasive surgery. In order to ensure the success of this case, we submitted extensive documentation of the client’s highly significant contributions to his field. Our client’s work has resulted in at least 16 peer-reviewed scientific articles published in leading journals in the field, and 14 conference proceedings. Furthermore, his publications have been cited at least 27 times by researchers all around the world from prestigious institutions. Additionally, our firm drafted and submitted several recommendation letters from experts in our client’s shared field. One of the leading researchers in the field said the following concerning the potential loss of our client’s contributions to the field of endeavor, “[The Petitioner's] techniques minimize the physical pain patients feel after surgery, but, perhaps even more importantly, his techniques also reduce the emotional struggle many patients undergo due to the alteration of their appearance that surgery necessitates. It is clear that [the Petitioner's] work already has and will continue to improve health care in the United States, and therefore he should be allowed to remain in the country." With the strong petition letter and recommendation letters we prepared, our client’s NIW case was approved in just over one month.
