Case Summary:

The client that North America Immigration Law GroupWeGreened.com had the opportunity to work with in this case was a statistician II from China. Her work had focused specifically on applying mathematical and statistical models to affirm associations between diet and cognition and to uncover molecular perturbations leading to cancer. We successfully demonstrated that her continued employment in the field would benefit those in her field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving her highly significant contributions to her field, including 7 peer-reviewed journal articles, 6 published conference abstracts, and 8 conference presentations. Her publications had been cited a total of 43 times at the time we filed the case; nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field. The importance of her work was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “As our lead statistician, [client] demonstrated her remarkable statistical abilities by analyzing and interpreting the results in a way that has armed our research group with the tools needed to accurately interpret complex statistical results. Not only does [client’s] statistical expertise contribute to sound reporting of the study findings, it also helps to advance the science and lead to improved public health.” Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. Her NIW petition was approved in 3 months and 28 days.
