Case Summary:

North America Immigration Law Group was hired to file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition for an assistant professor with a Ph.D. in mathematics. As soon as he approached us, we evaluated his intended research work in the field of mathematics. As an expert in his field, our client proposed to continue his work on investigating fundamental combinatorics problems including the enumeration of tilings in order to develop novel techniques for solving longstanding mathematical problems. His research work in the field is of great importance because his work focuses on problems of arrangement, selection, and operation within a discrete system.

To build him an impactful case, we thoroughly reviewed his credentials and submitted the documentary evidence to the USCIS. To begin with, we confirmed that our client had comprehensively reviewed 26 papers for many reputable journals. Our client’s successful research has also influenced his peers and colleagues in the field. At the time of filing, he had already acquired 327 citations from the 28 peer-reviewed journal articles (26 of them first-authored) he published. We also noted that our client has authenticated his strong hold as an active member of the scientific community as a peer reviewer and a knowledgeable expert whose work has been published in no fewer than 5 highly ranked peer-reviewed journals, highlighting the impact of his research being widely accepted.

Moreover, we supported his petition packet further by adding six recommendation letters that he obtained from fellow experts excellent in the same field, and they validated our client’s work as necessary to keep pace with global scientific progress. The following excerpt is from one of the attached letters.

“[Client’s] research is particularly important to the United States because science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) is integral to the United States economy... Innovative mathematical research provides researchers with the necessary tools to ensure that the United States remains competitive in the shifting global landscape.”

We are truly happy that our client received his EB-2 NIW petition which has led him one step closer to the green card process. Our vast experience in dealing with EB-2 NIW visa petitions has placed us well to lead our clients to their NIW success. For this case, we thank our client for choosing us to represent his NIW application and congratulate our client on this milestone.
