Success Stories: I-140 NIW (National Interest Waiver) & I-485 Approval Received for a- Data Scientist from Fiji Due to Our Efforts
Client’s Testimonial:
“It was a great pleasure working with Chen lawyers. Professional, attention to detail and efficient!!! I have recommended my friends to seek their reliable service and dedication to make a case into a successful story.”
On July 13th, 2021, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of Environmental Data Science (Approval Notice).
General Field: Data Science
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Researcher
Country of Origin: Fiji
Approval Notice Date: July 13th, 2021
Processing Time: 12 months, 2 days
Case Summary:
In 2020 we were approached by a data scientist from Fiji to file a petition letter on his behalf to the USCIS. In order to understand the unique requirements of her case we did a thorough study of her work thus far and then proceeded to compile a personalized petition for her. We understood well that her proposed endeavor is of great importance because of its value in combating the effects of global climate change, including the negative effects of nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions and climate change-associated erosion of coastal regions of the world.
It quickly became clear to our team that her endeavors have broad implications for the United States, particularly with regard to the impact of natural disasters, the frequency of which is directly associated with the accelerating effects of climate change. This helped us prepare our case by incorporating her ideas on the utilization of big clinical, bioinformatics, and environmental data to improve health and environmental practice decision-making within the US.
One of the several approaches we use to drive the case to success is making a note of the various grants and financial assistance that the client may have received within and outside of the United States of America. The proposed endeavor of this client has been supported by funding from leading agencies such as NASA, the NSF, and USAID. NASA is focused on supporting U.S. scientific breakthroughs. The NSF is focused on supporting all fields of fundamental science and engineering, while USAID leads the U.S. Government’s international development and disaster assistance through partnerships and investments. Her reception of funding from these agencies demonstrates the broad government support for her research achievements.
The recommendation letters come at last but are in no way the least important. We try to figure out how our client’s work has impacted other researchers in the field. This helps us assure that we handle the client the way they truly deserve. For instance, one of the recommenders had the following to say:
“As her curriculum vitae reflects, [client] is a superior data scientist who has garnered a strong background in the field and who now occupies a position in which she is able to continue advancing important research endeavors in data science as it relates to the environment.”
With her diligent research and efforts to mitigate the global climate crisis, we are certain of the fact that she will make a huge impact in her field. We thank her for her trust in our experience with NIW cases and for allowing us to arbitrate on her behalf with the USCIS.
