Case Summary:

The client that North America Immigration Law Group had the opportunity to work in this case was a mechanical engineer from Iran.  Her work had focused specifically on dam seepage, pulsed jet film cooling and atomization and spray systems. We successfully demonstrated that her continued employment in the field would benefit those in her field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving her highly significant contributions to her field, including 11 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles. Her publications had been cited at least 23 times at the time we filed the case; nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field.  The importance of her work was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender: “Water seepage from earthen dam reservoirs into permeable soil profiles causes serious internal erosion of the foundation or embankment of the dam, causing dam failure and accompanying safety concerns… [Client’s] work is clearly essential in addressing the safety and utility of critical dam structures.”  Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. Her NIW petition was approved in 4 months and 25 days.
