Case Summary:

An Iranian engineer hired North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to help him secure the national interest waiver. Despite his master’s degree and ample experience in the field of mechanical engineering, he needed our expertise to present a personalized EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) case to the USCIS, and essentially prove to them that his projects on renewable energies as well as hybrid and electric vehicles are important to the United States. Back in 2017 when our client first retained us, we had already successfully petitioned over 10,000 I-140 cases and knew just what to do to help him secure NIW approval.

By the time we were ready to file our client’s petition, we had gathered an impressive array of information pertaining to his field of expertise, research background, accomplishments as a researcher, and many more. For instance, we informed the USCIS that our client’s 5 publications were cited 25 times, and that he had judged the work of his peers 11 times. Furthermore, we concluded that his work is significantly beneficial because it provides us with viable alternatives to the burning of fossil fuels. Additionally, our client has also received government grants, which further proves the value of his research.

In a bid to further fortify our client’s NIW petition and to support our argument that he is an exceptional mechanical engineer, we incorporated two testimonials and six recommendation letters into his petition dossier. The recommendation letters were signed by other well-known researchers, all of whom were familiar with our client’s work. Not only did these recommenders advocate for the approval our client’s NIW petition, they also discussed elements of his important research. For instance, this is what one of the recommenders noted in his letter of support: “[Client’s] history of achievement ensures his continued innovation well into the future, and as a result, the proliferation of his work in the U.S. delivers great benefits to the nation.”

Roughly 5.5 months after our client’s NIW petition was filed, the USCIS sent him notification of case approval.  We congratulate him for overcoming this significant hurdle in the complicated green card process, and we thank him for retaining our I-485 services to help him adjust his status for permanent residence.
