Case Summary:

The client that North America Immigration Law GroupWeGreened.com had the opportunity to work in this case was a Resident from China.  His work had focused specifically on determining and targeting the mediating factors of TRPV1 signaling to reduce corneal inflammation and scarring and activating cannabinoid receptor subtype 1 (CB1) in order to accelerate the corneal healing process. We successfully demonstrated that his continued employment in the field would benefit those in his field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, including 10 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 7 presentations at national and international conferences. His publications had been cited at least 13 times at the time we filed the case; nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field.  The inherit merit of his work was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “[Client] discovered that cannabinoid receptor type 1 (CB1) can bind and effectively suppress TRPV1 activation in a chemical burn mouse model. This provides a new therapeutic option to reduce inflammation and pain in different animal disease models through mechanisms involving the dampening of TRPV1 activation and signalingevents. Therefore, CB1 could be a novel drug target to improve corneal wound healing outcome.”  Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 7 months and 12 days.
