Case Summary:

Another exceptional client that Chen Immigration Law Associates had the pleasure of working with was an Assistant Professor from Korea working in the field of biomedical engineering.   His work had focused on the engineering of bioartificial cardiac tissue. This client wished to seek continued employment in the field of biomedical engineering. We at Chen Immigration Law Associates demonstrated that his continued employment in the field would not only benefit those in his field, but the citizens of the United States at large. To achieve success in this case, we submitted extensive documentation proving our client’s highly significant contributions to the field of biomedical engineering, including at least 16 peer-reviewed scientific articles published in leading journals, and 20 presentations at national and international conferences and seminars. These publications had been cited at least 85 times at the time of case filing.  Of his accomplishments, one of the recommenders remarked: “… [Client] was responsible for the construction of a high performance cardiac in vitro simulator and the numerical model for a left ventricular assist.  These significant tools are now being commercially used throughout the scientific community to optimize patient management as well as device testing.  Clearly, through these clear-cut contributions of industrial and scholarly significance in the field of cardiovascular engineering, [client] has established himself as a nationally recognized leader.” Through extensive documentation, we at Chen Immigration Law Associates successfully argued that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW application was approved 1 ½ months after we responded to his RFE.
