North America Immigration Law Group received news that an EB2- NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition that we filed seven months ago has been approved. This case involved a Nepalese research associate, who specializes in pharmaceutical sciences. With a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Biology, our client is well-known for developing microbiological treatments that stimulate the human immune system to improve its capacity to produce antibodies.
In support of our client’s research, an expert in her field wrote a letter that said, in part, “Immune diseases and antibiotic resistance are two of the most majorly urgent issues in the medical community today. [Client’s] work in this area must continue, as she has already made concrete advances in discovering new substances for treating both immune difficulties and antibiotic resistance.”
The team at North America Immigration Law Group presented this letter, along with several others, to the USCIS. We also detailed the ways in which our client’s investigations are significant to the United States’ scientific and medical communities. By calling attention to her eight publications and 55 citations, we made clear that only a scant handful of researchers possess the skillsets she has, making it necessary for her to continue conducting her research in the country. The USCIS agreed and approved her I-140, propelling her one step closer to a green card.
