Case Summary:

This time we were given the opportunity to work with a software designer from China specializing in integrating industry engineering standards into the relatively new computer-aided design process. We submitted extensive documentation proving the high significance of his contributions to his field, including the CAD software he designed, the awards and honors he had received for his work, and the numerous conference presentations he has given. He has been recognized by independent researchers distributed worldwide, demonstrating the wide reliance upon and recognition of our client’s work in his field. An independent recommender affirmed the importance of his work: “[Client’s] [CAD] software is remarkable compared to other CAD software. Specifically.  [Client’s] [CAD] software users can directly load a manual's information and design results into their drawings. His [CAD] software already incorporates a variety of CAD engineering manuals to tens of thousands users around China. In fact, [Client’s] [CAD] has been a huge hit in China's CAD market, with over 1.4 million copies distributed and more than 2.5 million additional downloads.”  We successfully demonstrated that our client’s continued employment in the field would benefit the people of the United States as a whole as well as his fellow researchers, and argued that he would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 6 months and 9 days.
