Case Summary:

The client that North America Immigration Law GroupWeGreened.com had the opportunity to work in this case was a Research Assistant from Taiwan.  His work had focused specifically on developing new laser sources, such as quasi-phase-matching (QPM), high harmonic generation (HHG), ultrashort laser pulses, and tabletop extreme ultraviolet sources. As a Research Assistant, he has developed tabletop X-ray sources based on HHG and developed a new theoretical model of HHG based on his experiments. We successfully demonstrated that his continued employment in the field would benefit those in his field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, including 16 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 27 presentations at national and international conferences. His publications had been cited at least 371 times at the time we filed the case; nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field.  The inherit merit of his work was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “He has developed a new theory model for HHG, which can be defined as the unique broad spectrum emission reaction that occurs between strong laser fields and various molecules, that is superior to the standard three step model in explaining why HHG occurs and how its efficiency increases by using short driving wavelengths.”  Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 6 months and 11 days.
