Success Stories: NIW Petition Approval Allows Visiting Research Scholar in Iran in the Field of Physical Chemistry to Apply for an Immigrant Visa
Client’s Testimonial:
“Thank you so much. I appreciate your effort.”
On March 24th, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Visiting Research Scholar in the Field of Physical Chemistry (Approval Notice).
General Field: Physical Chemistry
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Visiting Research Scholar
Country of Origin: Iran
Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Missouri
Approval Notice Date: March 24th, 2016
Processing Time: 8 months, 2 days
A research scholar from Iran hired North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreeneed.com) to help him attain green card success. Our client is active in the field of physical chemistry and has many years of experience researching the enhancement of energy conversion processes and reducing our dependency on fossil fuel combustion for harnessing energy.
Our client’s 23 published scientific articles and the 169 citations to his work served as strong evidence that other researchers in his field are relying on his investigations to progress their work. We supported this claim by incorporating recommendation letters contributed by a handful of these very same researchers, one of whom wrote, “Because of these and other enormous contributions, I would like to express my earnest support for the continuation of [Client’s] work in this area…Without [Client’s] continued engagement in the field, I anticipate costly delays to progress in this critical area of study.” Along similar lines, another recommender stated that “His widely respected research is crucial in adding to the field’s knowledge of atmospheric processes, specifically as it relates to complex reactions and gas phase kinetics… [Client’s] research on atmospheric processes and the chemical dynamics of clean energy production are essential to the advancement of solutions to some of the most pressing issues in the U.S. today.”
Final Step towards Permanent Residency:
Because our client is no longer residing in the United States, he cannot file an I-485 application. However, he is now eligible for immigrant visa processing, a process that allows applicants outside the United States to attain permanent residency. Some of the steps that he has to take include paying the immigrant visa processing fee, scheduling an interview at an American consulate or embassy, and attending the interview. Assuming that everything goes according to plan, he will receive a visa stamp that allows him to enter the United States (before a specific date) as a permanent resident. As for his green card, it will be mailed to his American address once he enters the country. We congratulate our client on this milestone and wish him well as he embarks on the final leg of his journey towards green card success.
