Client’s Testimonial:

“Thanks a lot for you continues support and consideration.”

On March 19th, 2020, we received another NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for an Assistant Professor in the Field of Computer Science (Approval Notice).

General Field: Computer Science

Position at the Time of Case Filing: PhD student

Country of Origin: Iran

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Louisiana

Approval Notice Date: March 19th, 2020

Processing Time: 1 year, 3 months, 16 days

Case Summary:

Nearly 15 months and 15 days after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition for a Computer Science PhD student, the USCIS approved it without any RFE. With a Master of Engineering in Mechatronics and pursuing PhD in Computer Science, ample experience progressing the field of computer science, it came as no surprise that our client met the NIW standard set by Matter of Dhanasar.

As is the norm, we worked closely with our client to customize his NIW petition. Our goal was to make it unique, and we did this by basing our legal strategy on our client’s research background, accomplishments in the field, and skills and expertise. With over 16,000 case approvals in the bag, we have helped enough clients to have firsthand knowledge of any changes the USCIS makes when adjudicating cases. Furthermore, the likelihood of us securing petition approval was very high as we had petitioned multiple similar cases in the past.

By the time we were ready to file our client’s NIW case, we had gathered an array of information related to his work on developing artificial intelligence for biomedical applications. We convinced the USCIS that our client’s work in his area is of great importance because it aids the study of many human diseases. We also listed the 29 times our client’s 9 publications were cited along with the 8 times he assessed the work of his peers.

Another way we persuaded the USCIS to approve our client’s NIW case was by incorporating recommendation letters into his well-crafted petition dossier. These 6 letters were signed by other influential researchers and highlighted the fact that our client possesses considerable experience and expertise in a highly-specialized field. According to one of these recommenders:

“[Client] applied deep learning technology to DNA sequencing, overcoming many hurdles that have slowed progress in this arena, hence improving its applications to preventative medicine. Therefore, his work bears tremendous value and promise for science and its possible application in the health care sector.”

We are pleased that our diligent efforts led to NIW petition approval, and we thank our client for choosing us again for his I-485 application.
