Case Summary:

North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) had the pleasure of working with a gifted Chinese research scientist immersed in the field of plasma physics. He hired us to help him get one step closer to a green card. After evaluating his credentials, we concluded that the best way to do so would be via EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver).

EB-2 NIW Petition Dossier:

Our job was to compile a wealth of information on our client’s various accomplishments and turn what we had into a convincing EB-2 NIW presentation. We noted everything from our client’s Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering to his current research on the interaction between the magnetic field and plasma flow in astronomical structures. We summarized everything we learned and demonstrated to the USCIS that not many other physicists with similar skillsets can attain the same level of research success. We also proved that our client’s work is important to the United States, particularly when it comes to the country’s development of thermonuclear technology and advancement of fusion research. To pad our NIW petition packet, we included additional evidence that illustrated our client’s high standing in his field: the 36 citations to his 7 publications, and recommendation letters furnished by other expert physicists, all of which firmly demonstrated that our client’s opinions and insights considerably progress the work of other scientists. Here are several quotes that we excerpted from three of the six recommendation letters that our client obtained:

“[Client’s] impressive background and training have shaped him into a researcher with a unique perspective that allows him to conduct research geared heavily towards practicality and usability. I simply do not believe that the research community in the U.S. could have advanced as far as it has in its understanding of plasma without [Client’s] diligent work, and many continue to rely upon his insight and skills today.”

“The culmination of all of this academic work, and his experimental designs and applications, indicates that [Client] is truly an expert on dynamos and an important researcher in physics and electrical engineering. He has rapidly gained influence in this crucial field, and I highly encourage you to provide him with the support he needs to continue his novel research.”

“Given this highly successful work, I certainly expect [Client] to continue making substantial contributions to the field. Considering that he has already vastly outstripped even the most ambitious goals for a researcher in this field, it is plain to see that we can expect only the best from [Client] in the years to come.”

Story of Success:

We are pleased that Texas Service Center approved our client’s NIW petition (in 5 months and 2 days), and that we get to chalk it up as yet another encouraging example of our firm’s determination to help every client get closer to permanent residency. Our client now has to wait for his priority date to become current before filing his I-485 application (final step in green card proceedings). When the time comes, we look forward to helping him obtain his green card. Till then, we wish him well with his continued research ventures.
