Country of Origin: Tunisia

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Arizona

Approval Notice Date: April 29th, 2022

Case Summary:

Over the years, North America Immigration Law Group has established itself firmly among the immigration clientele. We have come to help over 25,000 clients get their petitions approved to date. This experience has enriched our staff giving us an advantage over others in knowing the inroads of the adjudication process at USCIS. So, whenever we get a request to file a petition on their behalf, we make sure to prepare a case that would win. So, when a client from Tunisia came to us seeking help with his NIW petition, we made sure we gathered every necessary information before putting together his application. We soon found that his proposed endeavor is to investigate the release of lipid mediators causing organ failure in order to develop novel treatment strategies for pancreatitis and related conditions.

It also became clear that as an expert in the field of biological engineering, his proposed endeavor was of national as well as international importance due to its impact in the medical and healthcare sectors. It was because of this that the Mediterranean Infection Hospital in Marseille, France has supported his study. This organization is dedicated to researching and developing more effective treatments for serious infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, HIV, and malaria, so their endorsement of his work reflects its clear importance in the development of novel treatments for serious diseases.

This was also apparent when we looked at the various recommendations he had received from experts in the field, some of which are quoted below:

“[Client’s] work on lipolytic enzymes and lipolysis has demonstrated the mechanisms of this disease and has identified a simpler way to diagnose organ failure than standard methods. As such, [client’s] research on pancreatitis offers significant health benefits to the United States.”

“His work also assists in diagnosing and treating lipolysis-induced metabolic disorders. As a leading voice in the field of biological engineering and an exceptional contributor to the American medical community, [the client] merits continued support for his studies in the United States.”

At the same time, the work of our client stretched beyond the confines of a laboratory into academics. Therefore, his research has resulted in 25 peer-reviewed journal articles (13 of them first-authored) and 1 first-authored book chapter. These papers have been published in no fewer than 4 highly ranked peer-reviewed journals. Not only has he successfully completed and published the results of his research in the field, but his research has also gone on to influence his peers. That is, these publications have been cited a total of 211 times.

He has also completed at least 6 reviews to date. Given that only the most highly esteemed researchers in the field are invited to evaluate the work of their peers, especially in notable venues like these, it is clear that he is seen as very knowledgeable in the field and an expert in topics related to his proposed endeavor. We are thus proud of having him as a client and are delighted to hear of the success of his application.
