Success Stories: Our Client from Bangladesh Working in Industrial Engineering Gets NIW Approval without RFE, Thanks to Our Team’s Excellent Work

Client’s Testimonial:

“Thank you for your continuous cooperation and help in every step of my I-140 petition.”

On May 6th, 2022, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for an Assistant Professor in the Field of Industrial Engineering (Approval Notice).

General Field: Industrial Engineering

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Assistant Professor

Country of Origin: Bangladesh

Approval Notice Date: May 6th, 2022

Processing Time: 20 months, 22 days

Case Summary:

“The United States is the world’s largest importer of steel, importing nearly $10 billion worth of steel each year. Although American industries also export steel pipes and tubes, this native market has been unable to compete with international steel for a larger share of the American market. It is this precarious situation for American steel manufacturers that renders the work of [the client] of paramount importance to the United States. His work on optimizing the manufacturing process for steel pipes, in particular, holds incalculable value for American companies vying against international competitors.”

“[The client’s] research also holds substantial benefits for the United States. [Client’s] innovative supply chain coordination models can achieve these cost reductions and are practically applicable to each of the sectors mentioned above. His work is therefore crucial to ensuring the competitiveness of American companies on the global stage.”

These are the words of two experts selected from letters of recommendation written in favor of an assistant professor in the field of industrial engineering, who wanted to file an NIW petition with our help. The National Interest Waiver petition is for those individuals who can prove that their work is of interest to the United States. He was working in the field on his proposed endeavor of developing mathematical models using analysis, statistics, and algorithms that illuminate solutions to operational problems in the manufacturing industry of the United States. Thus, his research advancing his proposed endeavor is of great importance because of the exceptional size of the consumer goods market of the United States.

At the same time, working in the area for 10 long years, he has published 14 peer-reviewed journal articles (ten of them first-authored) and 12 peer-reviewed conference articles (nine of them first-authored), which have been cited a total of 141 times according to Google Scholar. He has also completed at least seven peer reviews to date.

In addition, he has served as a session chair for 2 international conferences in the field giving him additional knowledge to keep working in the field. So, we were very elated to have his approval on our side. We wish him all happiness in the world.
